Karla has been actively involved in Karate for over 15 years. She has been graded to Nidan by Yamaguchi Sensei, son of Gogen Yamaguchi in Goju Kai Karate. She also has the distinction of having represented her country, Uraguay on several occasions as part of the national team competing in the World Championships. She has represented Uraguay both in Kumite and Kata. She has won several national titles and placed 3rd in the World Championships.

 

Karla has a very deep understanding of the mechanics of Karate movement and has been very fortunate to learn from the source and has been taught from an early age by her uncle, a 5th Dan and national coach. She has also been fortunate in training under both Yamaguchi and Watanabe Senseis. This is evident in all her movement and precision at effective Karate techniques.

 

Karla has also been involved in personal fitness and rehabilitation training.
