Sadly we say goodbye to John Hardy who is emigrating to Australia with his fiance George.
John has been training in the club since 2000, with a break in between and returned to become senior student and a very valuable member of the club. We wish him all the very best in the future and hope he continues to train hard and finds a good Karate Do Dojo in Melbourne and works his way to Shodan and beyond. Best wishes from all at the Edinburgh Karate Academy.
Congratulations to the following students who passed their gradings:
George Dixon - 3rd Kyu
John Hardy - 3rd Kyu
Wiz Atthakor - 5th Kyu
Richard Libberton - 5th Kyu
Reuben Hustler - 6th Kyu
Once again student of the year went to Wiz Atthakor, with Richard Libberton still chasing and runner up for the second time.
Remember, its the man who wears the belt and not the belt who wears the man.
Always strive to maintain and exceed the standard achieved by the grading and for those with a 3rd class pass, the goal is to take this to 1st class before you are able to get to the next level.
